Unit 26/27 Cambridge Science Park
Client : Trinity College
Bryan G Hall assisted Bidwells, on behalf of Trinity College, in securing consent for a research building on Cambridge Science Park.
Bryan G Hall prepared a Transport Statement and Travel Plan for the development. The Transport Statement included a trip generation exercise that compared the proposals with the permitted site use. An assessment of the resultant increase in trips on the local transport network was also undertaken. This showed that in comparison, the new scheme would have a minimal impact. The Travel Plan identified how trips by non-car modes could be encouraged to the site to further minimise the impact.
The design team produced the detailed design for the site access. Assistance was also given to the structural engineers in determining the design of a ramp structure to be used to gain access into part of the site. Vehicle auto-tracking was undertaken to demonstrate the suitability of the layout.
