Senior/Principal Transport Planner
We are looking to recruit a Senior/Principal Transport Planner to join our expanding team, taking a lead role on a varied portfolio of transport planning and highway assessment projects supporting residential, commercial and mixed-use developments for clients across the UK and the Isle of Man.Your role will include leading the preparation and delivery of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans, directing junction capacity and highway modelling work, and taking ownership of key client relationships, including representing the practice at pre-application meetings, meetings with local authorities during the application consultation period, negotiations with local authorities in relation to conditions and planning obligations and in providing expert witness advice at planning inquiries.
You will play an active part in business development, supporting the growth of the practice through new and existing client relationships, and will provide technical direction, mentoring and take on line management responsibility for junior members of the team.
The successful candidate will be, or will be working towards becoming, a Chartered member of the CIHT, ICE or equivalent, with substantial experience in transport planning consultancy, a strong track record of managing projects and client accounts, and sound working knowledge of modelling software such as ARCADY, PICADY and LinSig. You should be a confident communicator capable of representing the practice externally, with proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities to a high standard.
