History
The Practice was established in 1985 by Bryan Hall with the aim of providing specialised consulting services in connection with the transportation and highway related matters associated with all forms of land use development and re-development. It has earned a distinguished reputation for advising both public and private sector clients, the latter varying in size from individuals to multi-nationals who are leaders in the field of general and specialised housing, educational, leisure, food and non-food retail, office and industrial developments and re-developments. The Practice has maintained enduring business relationships which have been essential for its development and success.
In January 2001 it became incorporated, a move that triggered controlled expansion of the Practice, which continues today with the offer of a number of career opportunities.
By focusing its skills in the specific area of transport and highway engineering, the Practice has developed a deep understanding of the issues relevant to the planning system. Its approach typically involves empirical studies and quantitative analyses that are considered to be fundamental to resolving identified issues in a manner that avoids needless bureaucracy and achieves sustainable returns.
The Practice is experienced in working individually and as part of multi-disciplinary teams engaged in examining all aspects of land use development. It is also capable of providing information to other disciplines (e.g. to assist noise and air quality examination). It has developed an extremely wide client base which includes:
- Supermarket operators
- Educational Institutions
- Major developers and national house builders
- Multi-national blue chip companies
- Major land owners
- Local Authorities
